About Me

HI, thanks for visiting this page, my name is Stephen Laverty, i am a DJ/Producer from Ballymena in N/Ireland. I have been djing for about 8 or 9 years and in that time i have owned my own record shop VINYL NATION, which i sadly had to close down late last year (2007) due to the rabid decline in vinyl sales.I have played various venues throughout Ireland such as YELLO, Beatworx, Surge, The Matrix,Lost,Filter,Funked out,Bar Red,The Retro Bar etc.. . I have also promoted my own nights such as Smooth ( @ the slemish Ballymena), Vinyl (@the Grouse Ballymena and Bar7 Portstewart alongside Aaron McClelland aka Yer-Man and Fonzerelli) , Tonic ( @ Clublands Cookstown ) and am currently co promoting a night called SURGE (www.myspace.com/surgenight) which is held at the end of every month @ the Slemish bar Ballymena, Surge has also had nights at The Edge Belfast and The Retro Portrush with DJs like James Talk, Phil Kieran, Pyscatron and Vandal making Guest Appearances. As well as DJing and selling Vinyl i have been producing my own music, making House and Techno. I have had a few releases on Mena Music and have completed several remixes for UMM and Boss Records. I will be putting new tracks up on my player every month so if you have a listen,feel free to leave me feedback (good or bad).
