In 2004 besloten Ed en leden van de band Nonsens om, na in vele bezettingen te hebben gespeeld, iets met Thin Lizzy te doen. De band FOOLSGOLD werd opgericht. Na een periode van bandlidwisselingen is de juiste line-up gevonden.
De naam FOOLSGOLD komt van een Thin Lizzy nummer, te vinden op de in 1976 uitgebrachte Johnny The Fox.
FOOLSGOLD speelt rock uit de jaren 70 en 80 (of als het er mee verwant is).

In 2004 it was decided by Ed and members from the band Nonsens to, after having played in many different line-ups, do something with Thin Lizzy. They set up the band FOOLSGOLD. After a period of heavy member changes they finally have found the right line-up.
The name FOOLSGOLD originates from a Thin Lizzy song, which can be found on the 1976 released album Johnny The Fox.
FOOLSGOLD plays play rock from the 70's and 80's (or if it's related).
