I'd like to meet:
ED'S MINI-BLOG
May 2007
Ok, got bored of my page again so I gave it another facelift. Been a crazy couple of months (you'll notice the 5-month gap since my last update) but shit at work just got crazy. It'll probably get crazier too since I'm leaving for Russia in about 4 days. Going there for 2 weeks to help finish up TimeShift.
Let's see - since my last update: I turned 35 in April (wtf), Brian got married, and Mike Pac & Mary got engaged AND pregnant (it's gonna be a boy!). Summer's coming too, so that means half-day Fridays at work - yes I do plan to take full advantage of that. Just found out too that I may be in Shanghai again in August, but this time hopefully I can take Tes & the kids. That should be nice, maybe even try to take a weekend trip to Beijing to see the Great Wall & Forbidden City. Oh yeah and a couple of weeks ago I won a 32-man ping pong tournament at work! Does that officially make me gay?
More later...
February 2007
Cleaned up my profile! It started looking like some crazy high-school mySpace whore's page with a million pics and comments that takes an hour to load - so now it's clean and easy on the senses. Always a work in progress though so check back for future updates.
One word: CABOOOOOOO! Yeah baby - had a great time taking care of my cousin at his bachelor party in Cabo San Lucas last weekend. Not much happend really. Little bit of drinking, little bit of swimming. Did some ATV off-roading and even went on a harbor cruise. One really scary moment though - we were walking down the street on the way to a night club when all of a sudden we were inside this building where girls were dancing on poles without clothes! I mean, they were literally naked! I couldn't believe my eyes. I tried to warn the other guys not to go in, but it was no use. Then the girls stole all my money and... well nevermind. Let's see... what else is going on. Jubaira's birthday just passed, Valentines day's coming up and Tes's birthday in a couple of weeks. Gonna be busy! Best news by far though is Tes's dad's heart surgery went safely and he's on his way to recovery. Don't want to jinx anything, but it's looking good and thanks to everyone who kept him in their prayers. Countdown: 5 weeks until Boq & Jenn's wedding - more good times. So far though, 2007's been good to us, despite starting it off with everyone sick. Made some new friends - some at work, some at our favorite cigar shop (wuzzup J&A), some in Cabo and some even right here on MySpace. Hope to see you all at our big 10 year anniversary party! Stay tuned for details...
New Years 2007
Well I'm back and still alive. Spent Christmas Eve and New Years Eve in bed with pneumonia! Yeah it was a sad holiday for the most part - Tes and the kids were stuck at home taking care of me. Eva got sick too so that wasn't fun. But at least we got to spend a couple of nights watching movies like a family - better than spending it alone right? Looking forward to 2007 - lots going on. Boq's wedding in March, me & Tes celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and Mike & Mary got engaged. Should be a good year if I'm not stuck in Russia for a couple of months. Anyway - keep in touch ya'll. If you're gonna be in LA any time soon, give us a holler. I know we haven't seen a bunch of you in a minute...
December
2006
Can't believe it's almost Christmas again - time flies when you're
old with kids mang. Looking forward to the holidays though, my niece
Jubaira from Switzerland is gonna spend a week with us. She's actually
my cousin, but until she turns 30, she's my niece
and I still have veto power over who she dates. Work's been crazy
- just found out that I may be spending a lot of time in Russia from
January-April. But unless there are major blizzards and -40 degree
weather, I'm taking Tes & the kids with me!
Thanksgiving
2006
Happy Thanksgiving e'rybody! Had some time to screw around with my
page today and finally got my song player tweaked out. Now you can
click on "Next Song" up on the top bar to browse through my songs.
You can also turn the music on/off. Thanks to kglad for the
code! Thanksgiving was chill - got to spend some time at home with
the fam playing Wii. Rocco is quite the virtual bowler now. If you
don't have a Wii yet, get one and don't waste your money/time with
the PS3. At least not for 2 years when the games catch up to the hardware.
O gawd I sound like a fucking nerd. That's what 14 years in teh game
industry will do to you.
November
2006
Back from India and China! Damn that was a long trip. Was gone for
3 weeks for work, missed the hell out of Tes Rocco & Eva, but
I'm back in one piece (miraculously). There was a Dengue outbreak
in parts of India while I was there - basically you get it from mosquito
bites and it's worse than malaria because there isn't a cure for it
yet. But I sprayed myself like crazy with bug-off and didn't get a
single mosquito bite while I was out there. Diarrhea... that's another
thing :)
Lots going on this month, then Christmas is just around the corner. Looking forward to catching up with you all soon. Peep the new pics below - I'll send more as they come.
September
2006
Summer's almost over - damn it went by fast. Starting a new job this
month - then flying to China and India for 3 weeks in October. That's
gonna suck - never been away from Tes, Rocco & Eva that long.
But hey, bills are bills and we gots to pay them. Counting on all
of you to make sure they're safe while I'm away! Marj & Ryan's
wedding is just around the corner - gonna be big fun. All for now
- I'll catch up with ya'll later.
Peace,
Ed
