Marci K is a charismatic, multi-award winning singer-songwriter. She has one album to her credit, From the Heart, and is currently working on the production and completion of her second album, of which she is the singer, songwriter, composer, pianist and producer.
As an active member of the music community, Marci K has received recognition in various media outlets. In addition to her multiple performances worldwide, Marci K's music has received airplay on internet, community and college radio stations. Many of her songs have received honors including 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place awards in addition to honor award, finalist and semifinalist recognition in numerous nationwide songwriting competitions. As an artist, performer, and songwriter, Marci K has also been featured in several publications, receiving article write-ups in magazines, websites and newspapers including, among others, The Daily Bruin, The Collegian and Music Connection.
Passionate, thought-provoking, and authentic, Marci K brings to life her own creative style of piano-based melodic soft rock and adult contemporary pop. Filled with intimate, introspective lyrics, sensuously captivating vocals and emotionally driven piano, K's words are intelligent and her music is soulful. This gifted musician has a lot to say about life's lessons in love, loss, and desire. A strong and sensitive artist, Marci K has a powerful way of sharing her experiences and insights to let us know we are not alone in what we are feeling; she is driven to communicate with us that there is hope in the future for our relationships and life, regardless of what the past has held.
Marci K continues to keep her musical vision alive. As a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles in Ethnomusicology, she is currently earning her Masters of Music degree from California State University, Los Angeles in Commercial Music Composition and Arranging. As music is both her life and her livelihood, Marci K will tell you that "life without music would be a mistake" (Friedrich Nietzsche).
