John Anthony Marcogliese a.k.a. Saint John was born in Essex County New Jersey, raised in Palm Beach County Florida and been living back and forth between the two as well as living and being all over the world.
Through his life and everywhere he went, trouble always seemed to follow him. Therefore he was given the name "Saint" John, which is an obvious oxymoron since John was far from a saint. He was angry, and raw and wrote song lyrics to express himself and release some of the negative energy he had inside him.
After seeing and being through a lot such as the United States Marine Corps and War in Iraq he realized there is nothing to be angry about and everything to be appreciative for. That also started reflecting through his music, so his friends and other recording artists he worked with started saying he turned Hollywood and went soft. They said this in a negative way. They said he wasn't the same lyrically and that he should be the old Saint John again.
Saint John took it in a negative way at first, but then he completely ran with it and flipped it on em. He started making really commercial/mainstream sounding music and was given the name and image "Johnny HOLLYWOOD". Saint John started writing and recording for fun and to express himself. After doing it for a while and everyone telling him he was really good, he decided since he had a love and passion for music that he would make it his life.
Music now went from fun, to a business and lifestyle. Saint John went from being a rapper in the basement and on the corner to being a Recording Artist/Studio Engineer/Entertainer/Producer/Songwriter and the list goes on. Saint John invested in recording equipment and started recording and engineering his own music as well as other artists coming to him for studio time. It was a lot of work at first since people go to intense schools and programs to learn how to work ProTools, but Saint John spent all his free time in the studio and was determined to teach himself.
Saint John has the complete package. He is a hard worker, he is determined, talented, good looking, confident, and he has a swag that make people either love him because hes got it, or hate him because they don't. His music is very versatile with songs ranging from club bangers to deep tracks. From songs for the ladies to grimey tracks. From lyrical songs to songs with swagga. Songs with energy and hype, to poppy/mainstream hooks. You name it, hes got it! Keep an eye out for the next new sensation, St.John aka Johnny HOLLYWOOD because he is on an upward path to the top of the music industry. St.John says "The only person that can hold me back is MYSELF, and the chances of that happening just do not exist."
