About Me
"Birth place of public education"I was first established in 1643, originally a part of the Plymouth Colony. Currently, I am the smallest suburban town located in southeastern Massachusetts with roughly ten thousand residents (although Dighton has less).I was going to be the capital of Massachusetts back in the day when Seekonk, Somerset, Dighton and other various towns consisted of Rehoboth.
I enjoy this quiet, historical town and all it has to surprisingly offer. This town is quaint yet is developing quickly with many new houses and developments with ugly houses. I used to be only filled with genuine houses, some big, some small, some a hundred years old. I am filled with nature, I have forests in many peoples' backyards where kids make forts and where old stonewalls are not scarce. Deer and many other animals, even wild turkeys are attracted to these woods. I have lakes and ponds to fish in and iceskate on. I have fields and farms. Llamas are attracted to these farms, so are horses and especially cows. I have many garden nurseries and gardens. I used to have the best playground in the world next to the Palmer River Elementary school. My roads are very windy, some do not have yellow lines down the middle of them. I do not have many stoplights.
There have been many ghost story incidents that have happened in this old town.
Camp Ramsbottom is located in Rehoboth where kids can have fun in the summer... or not.
I have my own newspaper, "the rehoboth reporter" where my community can catch up on the lives of important people and what is going on.
Seekonk is my rival.
I have old school houses, many cemetaries, an old church and library, the carpenter musuem is filled with the town's historical information.
I am low in crime, my population consists ofmiddle-upperclass white people.
This town is great for children to grow up in.
My location is quite convienant, I am very close to Seekonk, Dighton, Taunton, and even Providence, RI.
I enjoy babies, monsters, young adults, teenagers, seniles, nice old ladies, adults, parents, funny old men, librarians, overprotective parents, hermits and you!reHOboth RehOBOTh
