I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a socially inspired writer, an agitator, violator, lover, fighter, perpetual student, bibliophile, artist and singer. I am also a connoisseur of music, art, beer, literature. I am in GAT-ROT. I work too much. Take the quiz:
What Hardcore band are you?

Refused
You are Refused. You hate capitalism. You want to revolt against the bourgeoisie every chance you get. You also are Swedish. You also shouldnt have broken up.

My Interests

Interested in love, life, politics, revolution, education, passion and progress.

I'd like to meet:

Old friends, and new and interesting people who are free thinkers and want to make life an exciting adventure and this world a better place.

Music:

Anything with heart, passion, catharsis, truth, reason, sincerity. I love hardcore, metal, jazz and alt-country, soul, blues and stoner rock too. I own way too many CD's/LP's, and I have a really big hard drive...full of music that is. Best CD of 2007, Machine Head-"The Blackening".

Movies:

I love to watch documentaries mostly, but am a sucker for a really bad comedy. Zoolander, The Three Amigos, and Blazing Saddles always lighten my mood.

Television:

If you are some elitist type who says they don't have a TV or preaches the "kill your television" gospel, you should probably not be cruising the web and using myspace, the champion of time killers. My Name Is Earl and the Office are my favorites. So is ESPN.

Books:

Read more, watch less TV. John Zerzan, Derrick Jensen, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Hunter S Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut, Franz Fanon, Subcomandante Marcos, Emma Goldman, The Crimethinc Workers Collective, Bill McKibben, amongst others. And most of the books published by The University of Arizona Press (where I work).

Heroes:

Malcolm X, Emma Goldman, Subcomandante Marcos, Zapata, Edward Abbey, Dr. King, Geronimo, Muhammad Ali, Amy Goodman, Howard Zinn, Jack Kerouac, Studs Turkel.

My Blog

Fuck Your Crew.

Swindle

I wrote this in 5 minutes after reading "The Great Iraq Swindle" by Matt Taibbi, an article in the September 6, 2007 edition of Rolling Stone Magazine. It is infuriating, and great journalism. ..:nam...
