Sports (NFL, NHL especially), music, movies, animals, books, PEOPLE!And speaking of people...One of my favorite people is my niece, Marga. She is an amazing person. She has gone through so much in her young life, but you would never know it. She is the world's most awesome mom and would be my friend, even if she weren't my relative. And sweet Katie, another of my nieces. If you have a frown on your face when you're near Katie, you have a problem. She's full of energy and sparkle and brings joy to us all. They are two of the reasons I am a blessed person.
Steve Yzerman, Brett Favre, Brad Paisley, Wynonna, Jon Bon Jovi, Keanu -- now and forever -- ... those are the famous ones. But "real" people are even more interesting, when they aren't the crazy ones who seem to find me wherever I go. My friends say that I have a "tell me" sign on my forehead. And people certainly do TELL ME the weirdest stuff;)
LIVE music rules. Get out to support live music, people. If you ever get a chance, RUN to hear Hozz and Slave to Gravity when you know either of those bands is at a venue near you. Awesome music, awesome musicians. My other favorite bands from this area are Tripod, wREC, Uncle Ugly, Buzz Factor, Stranded, Wisecrack. and Money Shot. Still have to get to Minnesota for a No Shame show! On the national side of things, I enjoy everything from Brad Paisley to Godsmack, from Sarah McLachlan to Foo Fighters, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Nickelback... Bon Jovi has a special place in my heart as I have traveled all over the place to attend their concerts;) Wish I had musical talents, but alas, I will sit back and admire the musical prowess of others. And be awed.
"Napoleon Dynamite," "The Shawshank Redemption," "Bull Durham," "Bringing up Baby," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "E.T.," "Saving Private Ryan," ... the list could go on and on!!
"Entourage" is my new obsession. "Sex and the City" will be a favorite forever. "LOST" is back and it rocks. And "Desperate Housewives" is MUCH better this season than last.
Just re-read "The Outsiders" which is one my all-time favorites. And I still enjoy magazines immensely.
