It's all about the song for me. About throwing into audible orbit some ideas to melody and hoping the person listening understands why I said it like that. I mean, why I sung it like that......ha.I don't know how the sound of a song does what it does to me, or to you, or to the bajillions of people we share the earth with. It's like it was designed to disarm us, or remind us of something outside of here and now.... have you ever had that happen? That's why I write music. It is this unexplainably crazy way to experience the past, or my hopes, or the perspective of another person. Every time I write, I am somewhere else.I'm forever changed by what I hear, what I feel, who I meet, and what I know. I cannot unlearn, avoid, or pretend for long without the truth coming out in a song. It's undeniable, what we come to see in ourselves and the lives around us. So much of it worthy of a song. So here I am, with poptentially insignificant things to share. Either that or something that might actually touch you. How wierd, amazing, miraculous, that something could come out of this stranger and maybe connect to you somehow. I like that possibility. :)
