About Me

Get your layout at MyToolSpace.com

Here I go again, talkin' bout the rain, mullin' over things, that won't live past today. As I dance around the truth, time is not your friend- this might be my last chance to tell you that He loves you. This might be my last chance to tell you that HE LOVES YOU.

..

My Interests

BABIES! #2 is currently under construction! Praise GOD!!
Cleaning my house is a definite interest, I wish there was a Martha Stewart Hands-on training program, but I'll just have to do with reading her books. I scrapbook, but usually not for myself- they make great gifts.
I also play guitar and sing for my church worship band, which is awesome. I also teach the young adult group, which is also awesome.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus- live, and in person, for real. And Chuck Norris, just for fun, and to get Judy an autograph...ya'll know who I mean, church friends!!

Music:

Christian music is the only way to go. Listen to 90.3 WJTL! 2 weeks til Newsboys/Kutless/Stellar Kart! Woooo!!!

The bands/artists I can, but I'd rather not live without:
Third Day
Jennifer Knapp
Sara Groves
Sarah Kelly
Casting Crowns
Barlow Girl.
Nichole Nordeman
Jars of Clay

Movies:

I LOVE the recent Adam Sandler movies:

Spanglish
50 First Dates

Other movies:
LOTR
Braveheart
Anchorman
Blast from the Past
The Count of Monte Cristo
The Time Changer (a hilarious and not-so-hilarious Christian movie- rent it NOW!!!)

Television:

Heroes is pretty much the only thing I can't miss right now.
The Office, Family Guy, American Dad, Smallville, Lost, Rome, The 4400, Supernatural- I'm all about tv on dvd.

Books:

I picked up Willa Cather's A Lost Lady for some reason and it is pretty darn good when you're not forced to read it for a college class!
I loved Eragon, Eldest, Artemis Fowl, City of Ember, People of Sparks, Power of Three, Bridge to Terebithia(Remember 6th grade reading class?) etc, etc. You just cannot go wrong with young adult fantasy fiction.
I must admit, I have been reading my Martha Stewart homekeeping handbook pretty exclusively, I'm such a loser.

Heroes:

God
JESUS
My Dad
Ronald Reagan
Soldiers
My husband.

Quote of the day...

"Stuffed deer heads on walls are bad enough, but it's worse when they are wearing dark glasses and have streamers in their antlers because then you know they were enjoying themselves at a party when t...

Be Part of the Body

I seem to be on a roll, within my head, of course, on this particular topic. Today I'm thinking about the Body. Know what I mean? The Body of Christ is synonomous with the Bride of Christ- it's the Ch...

Morality isn't something we just made up.

I talk out of my rear-end a great deal. Sometimes, I even hear myself and imagine Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura, where he makes his butt crack talk. There are, however, a few occasions when I do actually ...

Pride & Prejudice

I forgot- and I don't know how I could have forgotten such a wonderful piece of movie loveliness- I also watched Pride & Prejudice. Kiera Knightly is not my favorite person in the world, but as Li...

Factotum/ The Matador

Well, it has been a snowy, icy, icky week. And the movies we rented have not been satisfying entertaiment to say the least. First, Factotum, starring Matt Dillon, Lily something or other, and Marissa...

I raq, You raq, We all raq once again.

I think George W. is a douche, just like most other sensible, logical Americans. However, I seem to differ in opinion when it comes to Iraq. I'm going to go w/ GWB's decision to deploy more troops. Ho...

Movies and such.

So, I know this is hard to believe, but I've been rather busy this week. Doing what, I couldn't tell ya, but don't worry. I still sat down and watched a few movies. My most recent choices ran a wide s...

A few random musings...

Ok, first off, what was up with the Superbowl last night? Do you  know which part I'm talking about? The blatantly obvious 'booing' when the Chicago player named "Muhammad" was announced? Um...wh...

The Night Listener and The Protector

These two movies are as different as night and day. My opinion of both is not quite as defined. They both had me feeling lukewarm, but for very different reasons. First, the Protector. This is a movi...
