Mmmmm... I look good. I mean really good. Hey everyone come see how good I look.

About Me

I just LOVE these things! Let's see...I was born on a Tuesday back when Carter was President in a town called "Pittsburgh." I just moved back to the area and am trying to learn my way around, with questionable success. I'm becoming an expert in the art of cutting people off because I have no idea what lane to be in. Now, being a native of "Pittsburgh", I LOVE the Steelers, no matter what! I even have a replica helmet, although it's being held hostage by a Bengals fan. I lived in Bristol, TN (known only due to a Nascar track) for about 12 years and moved to Lexington my senior year of high school.

I work as an engineer for a gas company here in Pittsburgh...pays the bills but man does 6:30 come early!Sorry folks, nothing I can do about those gas bills--I don't get a break either!I have one sister and a ton of awesome friends! My sis is a nurse living in San Diego. Love her to death-she totally rocks, but we still can't succesfully share a bathroom! My friends are completely nuts, and for some reason they're mostly engineers too. Strangely, they're all really cool and people we meet (yes, they let engineers out in public *gasp* UNSUPERVISED!) refuse to believe that we have engineering degrees "cause we don't act like it." Remind me to carry a calculator next time I go out with my crew!Hopefully by next year I will have my own labrador, Francis. I rescued a kitten and named him Vinny. He's a crackhead and I don't exactly know what to do with him, as he's my first feline but I like him! If only he would stop trying to crawl into the regrigerator. Until I get a dog, feel free to give my cyberdog Francis a puppy treat. Beware, he barks everytime you give him a biscuit!

You Are a Classic Martini
You area sophisticated drinker, who knows that simple quality is over-rated.
You're a knowledgeable drunk, but sometimes you're a know-it-all when you're blasted.
You should never: Drink and gossip. You tend to forget who's standing right behind you!
Your ideal party: Has a real bartender. But no one mixes a better drink than you.
Your drinking soulmates: those with a Chocolate Martini personality
Your drinking rivals: those with a Margarita Martini personality What Flavor Martini Are You?My pal, the original Don Juan totally appreciates my Mexican name!

This is funny...I moved here 6 months ago and have learned how to understand the natives! No worries--I'm not giving up my Boomhauer-ish tendencies yet!

My Interests

Lots of things interest me! Ask and I shall tell!Warning: Shiny objects tend to grab my attention for minutes at a time!!!
You Are Animal
A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!" The Muppet Personality TestI couldn't resist when I found out I'm like Animal! He's my favorite Muppet!!!

I'd like to meet:

Always up for meeting new and interesting people! I'll usually start a conversation with a complete stranger for my own entertainment purposes! I was fun as a small child for just that reason! I'd like to meet the creator of the video below, it kept me and my friends highly entertained during grad school!

Music:

I like almost every kind of music. Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Journey and Guns-N-Roses are always a good idea, in my book! Country, Beach-style and Classic Rock are also favorites. Usually I'm just too lazy to turn the radio station. Unless Kenny G comes on. Then I'll hit random buttons until the noise stops! Other than that I'm fine with the tunes! I also have a strange love for Broadway shows, evidenced by the fact that I own "Rent" "Les Miserables" and "Phantom of the Opera." I'm also a card carrying member of the Parrot Head Fan Club--Jimmy Buffett's one of my favorite artists! When my CDs were stolen way back, I cried over the loss of his boxed set...then promptly bought another!

Movies:

Apparently I do a pretty good impression of Bill Lumbergh from "Office Space" - that's my current fave, but I like all sorts of flicks, and have a special place in my heart for "The Ref," "Coyote Ugly," "National Treasure," "The Phantom of the Opera" and "The Dream Team." Four escaped mental patients in NYC ~ 1989?! Now that's comedy!! I liked "The DaVinci Code" but I liked the book better, recognizing it's fiction. I saw "Superman Returns" and liked it...for ALL THE WRONG REASONS!!!

Television:

Sadly, I'm a sucker for prime time soap operas! That's right, I can give you a complete update on what happened on Desperate Housewives AND Grey's Anatomy! I like 24 too. I love to cook and the Food Network's a personal favorite, as well as stuff involving Big Machines, Modern Marvels and Extreme Engineering (I'll get sucked in for days!!!) I generally think reality shows are just a waste of good airtime, with the notable exception of American Idol-once they get into the competition. Really, my network tv watching is practically nonexistent because of this. Put an NFL or NCAA Men's basketball game on the channel and it's over-I'm into it immediately!

Books:

I like books. Even though I'm a product of the BTCS school system, I do know how to read. Sometimes I read books without pictures...
I'm a fan of James Patterson, John Grisham, Nora Roberts (I AM a girl), and the Harry Potter series. I will, however, maintain my dignity and NOT stand in line when the last one's released. I'll wait it out at the library like a normal human!

Heroes:

There are totally too many people that I look up to to list in this tiny space
