About Me

Tony grew up on the family's Darling River farm between a town called Wentworth and further north, Pooncarie. A Grazier's son, Tony was no stranger to hard work and from a young age was witness to the hardships of life on the land, as well as its rewards.
After finishing his education at Yanco Agricultural High School, Tony took up a career as a shearer which saw him travel over most of NSW and Victoria. Always with him, was his guitar, his moleskins his John Williamson cassettes and of course, his Holden Ute. Many a friendship formed over a cold beverage and a song, either around a campfire, in a country pub or on the tailgate of that Ute.
Tony’s audience is as varied as the roads he’s travelled, and the job descriptions he’s turned his hand to. His musical inspiration is drawn from life experiences. Tony is currently in the beautiful Pilbara region in Western Australia getting some of that!! (life experience)
Tony is a devoted family man with an embracing personality that you wont forget. His love of Australia and it's characters, the outback, his family and life, all play a part in his music. A balladeer with many stories to tell.
Recently Tony’s song “Shearer” was chosen by James Blundell for his latest album 'Portrait of a Man' which is due out in mid January 09. It’s a wonderful opportunity for Tony to have his music heard on a broader scale, and an honour to be acknowledged musically by one such as James Blundell!
Tony is always writing. This year has been particularly productive with more live performances from clubs and pubs to the occasional camp fire gig which he loves!
Stay tuned for an EP of new songs and a regional tour in the very near future!!
