About Me

About me huh? Well, there's a lot to say, but I'll do my best. Most of my life is ruled by humor. I love to joke around with people, and use I sarcasm as my weapon of choice. Generally, my friends and I can make light of any situation we're in with the use of humor. At the time, I'm probably one of the most driven, ambitious, and responsible people I know. I'm not just saying that either. This girl I know once said that I'm a "dichotomy." Yeah, I was a little confused too. However, after I checked it in Webster's, I found that she couldn't be more accurate. I'm somewhat of a contradiction to myself. My outward appearance and personality, never does justice to my character as a person. I'm not trying to say that I look like an asshole or anything. It's just that people are usually surprised by my academics, professionalism, ethics, and morals as it relates to my lifestyle and appearance. I graduate this year from Weber State University with a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice. I'm currently in the process of applying to the Master's of Social Work program at the University of Utah, and Weber State's Criminal Justice Master's program. Yeah, I know it's a lot of schooling, but it will pay off. Ultimately, I would like to someday get my PHD in either of the fields, and teach as a professor at a University. I figure after I get my Masters I'll spend a substantial amount of time in the field before I entertain the idea of teaching others. As you can probably imagine, my lifestyle is rather hectic. People always tell me that I'm the busiest person they know, and they don't know how I'm able to do it. Usually this means that I have little to no time for any leisurely pursuits, and I sleep about four hours a night. I really wouldn't have it any other way. I thrive on adversity and challenge. Accomplishments are ten times sweeter having defeated a great deal of obstacles to acheive them. I'm not much of a taker. By this I mean that I'd much rather earn things and pull my own weight, than have to depend on others to do it for me. In fact I'd rather have people depend on me. My parents are pretty loaded, but I feel like a fucking waste of flesh when I have to ask them for help with finances. All in all, I guess you can say that I'm a rather unique individual. Like I said, there's a lot to say, but I equate much of this to bragging. Besides, how muhc can you learn about someone through their profile on myspace? Hanging out with my friends and I is probably the best avenue for learning about me.

My Interests

Well, when it comes to academics I have to say that law studies in general are paramount. Originally, when I was a freshman at Weber State, my intentions were to go to law school once I graduated. However, now I'm graduating this year, I've had a change of heart, and am now leaning more towards law enforcement or clinical therapy for under-age criminals. And no, it's not because my grades weren't good enough to be a lawyer asshole! I've just come to grips with reality, and found that it's more important to be satisfied with what you do than how much money you make doing it. The intrinsic value of your work should always out-weigh the extrinsic benefits that it provides in my opinion. Plus, lawyers are scum-bags! My personal interests are geared toward health, and staying in shape. I really hate it when people don't have enough self respect to keep themselves in shape. It's seemingly a clear reflection of a lack of pride. I spend a great deal of time in the gym. I weight-lift a lot, but my cardio and endurance are just as important. Going to the gym also seems to be the best coping method for me to deal with stress in my life. I also have to keep myself in shape for cheerleading. I can hardly say that I'm very interested in cheerleading anymore though. My primary interest for being part of the team is the scholarship I receive that pays for my school. A little grim, I know. A bunch of my friends used to be on the team , so it was a lot funner than it is now. My other interests far exceeed what I've written here, but until I'm out of school I probably won't be able to enjoy mnay of them.

I'd like to meet:

For starters, I would like to find someone who is willing to deal with the fact that I'm a busy person, and that school is paramount to any other concern in my life. Most of my past relationships have failed due largely to the fact that girls have conflicting opinions of how I should spend my free time. They usually equate the fact that I choose to stay in and study, to me not wanting to spend time with them. Most often, this usually stems from their own lack of education. So, no dummys please. I think under-education and ignorance are one of the most unattractive traits girls can have. Initial attraction is usually a key element, however it isn't critical. I've found that girls will either gain or lose attraction the more I hang out with them based on their personality. However, physical fitness is a must. I relate poor health and a bad physique to a lack of self respect. I could never see myself with a person who doesn't have enough respect for themselves to stay in shape. Finally, someone who enjoys my humor, and has their own sense of humor as well. This goes hand and hand with being able to get along with my friends, who also happen to be a big part of my life right now. So, basically everything that I want I've found in my precious Crystal! Yeah, she's pretty much perfect.

Music:

I think that Nine Inch Nails is the best thing to ever happen to music. I've never heard more original, an more entertaining music from any other artist than Trent Reznor. He's pretty much a God in my eyes. My musical interests are not limited to NIN, however, most of my favorites are of similar genres. I like hard rock music more than all other types. I hate country music with a passion. Some rap/hip-hop is okay, but most of it has gone downhill as of late. ButtRock is the shit too. Nothing hits home like a good ol' power ballad. I also listen to a great deal of trance and techno. I find it relaxing, and easy to run to.

Movies:

Obviously, Sin City tops my lists when it comes to movies. No matter how many times I watch that shit, it never gets old. I'm pretty partial to anything with Bruce Willis. Besides he has the best movie quote of all time, "Yipee Kay-Yee Motherfucker!" It doesn't get much better than that. Bruce Campbell is one of movies greatest hard-asses too. What other actor do you know that has a god damn chainsaw for an arm, wastes zombies with his boomstick, and stills have the bravado to order girls to "give me some sugar baby!" Oh man, words to live by. Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt are a couple of studs too. Pretty much any movie they're in I enjoy. Those guys sometimes make me question my sexuality. I would totally let my girl sleep with them just so I could brag about it to everyone.

Television:

If I could have it my way, I would never miss an episode of South Park or Family Guy. That's some funny shit, and totally my kind of humor. My friends and I are all huge fans of the UFC. Boxing is a joke compared to mixed martial arts. We never miss a pay-per-view. I also find myself watching CourtTV probably more than any other station. They got some good shit on that channel.

Books:

With all the text books I'm required to read, I really don't have much time for leisure reading.

Heroes:

I really only have one absolute hero, and thats my father. Yeah, I know thats lame. I'll bet he could beat the living shit out of your dad though!
