THE CARRIE BOYZ

Allow me to introduce you to the Carrie Boyz. It all started in 97' with Laid Back. The foundation was built and the buzz was developing but it was only a matter of time before a neighborhood of teenage artists from the North side of St. Louis started to grow up and apart, so without any formal leadership the musical relationship deteriorated but the street bond that was created between these guys still remains to this day. Music, however, is addictive and there was a passion that never seemed to die as talent and confidence grew stronger as days went by.Fast Forward to the summer of 2005 where childhood friends and former Laid Back members Champ and Bidness met in the basement of newly acquired Baker(producer) to merge talents and discuss a new attack on the city and the music business. D.I.G. Entertaiment was laid as the foundation and Carrie Boyz the focus. The chemistry was automatic and songs were banged out like nothing but the professional sound neccessary to seperate yourself from the oversaturated market of rappers/artists wasn't coming as easily as expected. Bouncing from studio to studio and engineer to engineer the Carrie Boyz fortunately began to develop a better understanding of the overall recording process so most of the early music is now a distant memory but the quality of the most recent work has definetely improved. Now we are here in 2007 and the time and work put into this is about to become more show than tell. The music is on point, the swag is on point, and the buzz is developing according to schedule. You can catch us in traffic, in the club, in the strip joint, on the radio, on the internet, and on the block, and with upcoming projects like various shows, mixtapes and the Carrie Boyz album we hope to get familiar with anyone who isn't aware of the movement. The wait is over, it's Now or Never. ..
