Influences: Growing up I listened to all the greats like Aretha, Whitney, Nina Simone, Roberta Flack, Chaka, Reba Moore, Anita, Mahalia, and Janet. My Grandmother was a major influence as she would play piano and sing for churches and as a result that is where I started. I also listened to Salt and Pepa, JJ Fade, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Roxanne Chante, Lauryn Hill, Lil Kim (*****) . I just love good music. Good groves, good flow, the kind of sh$t that makes ya head knock or speaks to my heartache.
