In the fall of 2005, Clay Harned and Adam Young came onto the local open mic scene. Not long after that, they somehow managed to land a few gigs at a couple of bars around town. Soon there after, a local drummer approached them to let them know they sounded like garbage. This drummer was Jay Smith, the third member of the band. The guys still knew something was missing - a bass player. Enter Tracy Owens. All of the pieces were now in place for what is today known as The Clay Harned Band. (By the way, the name wasn't Clay's idea, and he really doesn't like it all that much) Although the band only does cover songs right now, they touch on a wide variety of music that is sure to entertain anyone drunk enough to listen.
