Beyond Riches began in October of 2005, at Grayson County College, in Denison, TX. After leading worship for a group of their peers, the guys began to see God working in their lives, and realized that they had several things in common, among these were, a love for God and a passion to play music. Soon, what started as a one time worship event, turned into an amazing journey. The band started having awesome opportunities to play all around their community. Later that year they wrote their first original (Three Nails) which was instantly a hit to all who heard it. This inspired the band to get more serious about their song writing. They started playing shows more frequently, and before long their heart felt lyrics and incredible energy began to catch the attention of everyone who heard them. Since then Beyond Riches has shared the stage with such national acts as Pillar, Kutless, Decyfer Down, Fire Flight, Manic Drive, Skillet, Day of Fire, Building 429, By the Tree and many others. Ask any one of the guys how they got to where they are so fast and they will tell you, in a simple phrase, "It's a God thing". Changes have recently been made and the hunt for a new guitar player has begun. A founding member of the group has decided to persue other interests, but the band wants to contiue using their musical gifts, so Beyond Riches has started the search for a new member.
Beyond Riches has high hopes for the future. The band is constantly booking shows, but never turns down the chance to lead worship. After all, that is what got them started in the first place.
