VIENNA, WV -- Ohio Valley University men’s basketball program has signed its last two recruits for the 2007-08 roster, announced OVU Athletic Director Ron Pavan.Deshawn McCain, a 6'3", 195 lbs guard/forward from Creedmoor, North Carolina will join the OVU Fighting Scots team after two successful years as a starter for Wilkes Community College (WCC) in Wilkesboro, N.C.While at WCC he played every position for them except point guard. McCain’s high school career at Creedmoor High School, included being named the best defensive player in the Mid-State AA League and was named to the All-Area Honorable Mention team.“Deshawn will be a versatile player for the Fighting Scots,†OVU head men’s basketball coach Bill McGee said. “Because of his ability to score in the post, from the arc and slashing to the basket, he will be a formidable weapon in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Along with his versatility on offense he will be a tenacious defender.â€
