If you can't be with the one you love... spend a week at the Denny's in Bremerton, then your misery

About Me

Wow, it seems like a tall order to tell you all about me in simple words typed on a screen. I need surround sound, high-definition, interactive 14-point font menus, a timeline with narration, and a coupon for one free week of intense psychotherapy sent to everyone who is privy to my entire life in one dose. But since I am way too lazy to provide you with all that, here goes:

I am a wicked child, made twisted and dishonest by all the influences I percieved around me as I was growing up. In Reality I was raised in a happy home by loving parents who divorced, but never stopped loving me. it took me 25 years to wake up and realize that I have a choice about everything in my life. Nothing is beyond my control, global factors included. so to say that I blame anyone else for my drug usage, drinking, dropping out of school, wasting my brain doing menial jobs, etc. would be a lie. I told that lie for years, and it was comforting. But, small comfort can anything be when one is sleeping in the cold because one is underweight and can't pay the electricity bill. dropping the lie was rough, it hurt worse than any drug withdrawal in the history of man, but slowly I have learned to live without it. Now armed with the knowledge that I am in control has endowed me with the courage to get out there, to work for my own ends, to love myself, to meet new people, and to plan to have a future, instead of just living to survive scraping by from one day to the next.

Not everything is a happy ending, I am in the middle of the story (hopefully somewhere close to the beginning) but it could still go tragically downhill. I could die tomorrow, or go to jail, or spend the rest of my days peniless and alone. Rest assured that if any of this miserable fortune does befall me, it will have to drag me down kicking and screaming, instead of resigned and begging for sympathy.

Funniest thing I've seen all day, Thanks Elliot

My Interests

Everything interests me, and in a way that is because I am interested in learning. I soak up information like a sponge, and I am a junkie for everything. And if I am talking to you, then chances are whatever you find interesting, so do I. Specifically I am into music, computers, video games, and building things. I am into tearing things apart and figuring out how they work, even people, which flourishes in the form of a life-long study in the psychology of Generation-X and the TV generation. Mostly I hope to someday write a comprehensive thesis Baby-Boomers: Thanks For Ruining The World

What Famous Leader Are You?
personality tests by similarminds.com

I'd like to meet:

Anybody with something interesting to say. I do not care if you are a good person, a bad person, what you do for a living, what you believe in, how you dress, whether you're old or young, etc. Just do me a favor and present me with an opinion that belongs to you. Don't quote me what MTV, VHI, E!, the President, or anyone else tells you to say. That having been said, I love to meet anyone, but if you fall into the empty-headed wanna-be category, I will insult you (don't worry, you won't realize it)

Music:

I like almost every kind of music. I love punk rock, hard rock, butt-rock, rock-n-roll, alternative, grunge, new punk, some pop, some techno, and a lot of classical. I can't impress you by listing the full library of songs by some obscure band that NO ONE has heard of and therefor must be cool. Here are a few selections I like though. Alice in Chains, the Beastie Boys, the Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Doors, They Might Be Giants, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Brian Setzer (even during his Stray Cats years), Stephen Lynch, Tenacious D, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Primus, Live, Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, Soul Coughing, Micheal Bublé, Dirty Vegas, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Weezer, and I will think of more and add them when I get around to it.

Movies:

Television:

I love when a good new sci-fi show comes along and then is promptly cancelled. I followed all the trek series' but it got hard. I was on board through Deep Space 9, but they went downhill with Voyager, and Enterprise was kind of weird, I mean who else thought a Trek episode ripping off the plot from the movie Speed was a bit weak? I loved Firefly, Family guy is welcome back. Futurama, the Simpsons, Saturday Night Live used to be good, but it's hitting another bad slump. I am into the hour-longs that are on all over the place. CSI is good, I love House, Buffy and Angel were Aces in my book. And for all of you who liked Angel, our buddy is doing a good job in Bones. I love Jeopardy, but most game and/or reality shows are just a waste of brain power. I could also sit and watch the Discovery Channel or the History channel all day.Your results:

Books:

I love fantasy novels, I am into Dragonlance any by the orginal authors Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis. I love David and Leigh Eddings, the Belgariad, the Malloreon and The Elenium so far, although I have 6 more books to read before I have completed his collcection. The newest and best series I have read so far is the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin, full of intrigue and suspense, and a complex plot. I love Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, The Americanization of Benjamin Franklin by Gordon wood. To name a few.

Heroes:

Wow, it's hard to say who a hero is. My mother, and all schoolteachers who had the love of the job to touch the lives of people around them. I saw a History channel show about a shootout, and there was a couple cops who drove into a hail of armor-piercing bullets to rescue their fallen comrades, and I thought those guys are heroes. I saw a fireman run into an inferno and pull out a young girl, and thought now there's a hero. Sadly only the villains and the jocks ever get the real recognition. I don't give a rats ass about basketball and I've been hearing about Shaquille O'neal, Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippen, Dennis Rodman, John Stockton, Larry Bird, the list goes on and on. I am not a fan of Genocide, and yet I know all about Mao Tse Tung, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, etc. I am moved to tears by the stories about hero cops, firefighters, soldiers and schoolteachers, yet I can't name 3. Sad world, isn't it? Which Saint Are You?
You are Joan of Arc! You don't really want to hurt anyone, but if they attack your friends or your country and no-one else will stand up to fight them, you head into the battle. Beware though, conviction tends to get you killed.
