Music, writing, friends, travel, inventing the next-coolest-thing for my business, cooking (when I have time...so I guess I should say I'm interested in finding more "time to cook" and someone to cook for....if it doesn't come on a stick my kids are not likely to appreciate it)
Me about 23 years ago to talk some sense into myself and lay out a far better life plan...but then again, I would have been 17, and I guess I wouldn't have listened anyway...
I love all kinds of music, cliche' I know....but it's true.I enjoy going to concerts, writing music, playing piano, guitar, keyboards...music has become a sense of identity and expression for me, a source of healing and "therapy" if you will, and my own personal oasis...never have I written more music than in the last year.As far as the music I listen to, some of my favorite artists: Journey, Pink Floyd, Poison, Def Leppard, Coldplay, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw/Faith Hill, Shania, Train, Keb Mo, Matchbox 20, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Rolling Stones, Damien Rice, Beth Hart, Grace Potter, Moses Mayfield, Bon Jovi, Lifehouse, Ingram Hill, Blue October, Del Amitri, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Goo Goo Dolls, Better Than Ezra, Stone Sour, REM, and how could we forget Shaggy (ok, Shaggy - not so much - just wondering if people actually read this)....I formally played keys for the band Jacksons NLA in Birmingham, Alabama (best of luck guys - acoustic or full band, always a great time, catch a show - they will rock your shoes and possibly your socks right off!). Starting in April, 2007, I am working on a VH1 pilot project called: SuperGroup Tribute, and currently, I am playing guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals with the Adam Jason Band, now playing at finer bars, clubs, gin joints, and arenas near you:

Shawshank Redemption, Raising Arizona, Secondhand Lions, Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean (all 3; & Jessie Jane's special version...Arghhh...Save the wenches!), Oceans 11-13
Sopranos, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Reno 911, 30 Rock, The Office, Desperate Housewives (guilty pleasure, sorry), Saturday Night Live, South Park, Family Guy, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, Medium, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Twilight Zone (the old black and white ones), Andy Griffith Show (Nick at Nite junkie, yes indeed), Letterman, Leno (especially Mondays with "Headlines"), American Idol (pre-2007...I hopped off the band wagon), 24, Lost (until I got too far behind...once they figure out where the hell that show is going and put it on DVD I'll catch up...perhaps), and although I am completely straight...I am confident enough in that to admit I like to watch the Food Network (though I am way over the whole "Bam!" phase...), and I like those shows on HGTV where they clean peoples' houses because it makes me feel better about my own house - though it isn't too bad these days; and finally, whatever else my TiVos tell me is about to expire...so much TiVo space...so little time...I also miss some of my recently canceled shows, let's all have a moment of silence for (R.I.P.): Arrested Development and Studio 60
These generally fall into two major categories for me:1) "Books I Actually Read" (Such as the entire "self-help" and relationship section of Barnes and Noble, which has been relocated to my bedside table...and floor...and kitchen table...and counters...)2) "Books I Buy that I Fully Intend to Read But Probably Never Will But Just Couldn't Pass them Up" (such as cookbooks, business books, especially those packaged creatively in cereal boxes (yes, I said cereal boxes)....and that refers to a business book NOT a cookbook... (p.s. it is still in the box unopened...).
J.C. (who gave all He had to give us all we will ever have or be), the men and women of our armed forces (they put their lives on the line every day for our freedom and our country, sacrificing all for us and all too often go unappreciated), my grandfather (who had to leave his new wife to go to Europe as a pilot, flying a B-24 Liberator in WWII on nearly 30 missions, including over Berlin, and who has shown the highest honor and character in every area of his life), and anyone who still has the courage to love fearlessly (even when all that has come before in their past relationships would tell them to do otherwise).
