TEASPOONRIVERNECK (debut cd 2006)
CRAFT OF LISIA (7 track mini album 2007)
SUNSET'S TRIP ( 3 track EP 2009)
Review of Craft of Lisia by Left Hand Drive and Sludge Swamp
"Somewhat a departure from their debut self-titled,
this 'mini-album' is a much heavier and downtempo outing
that explores the darker concepts of life after sunset with the grind of a destinctly un-stoner nature
, unlike their former 'more approachable' elements. Craft humps and bumps with growls and howls
like a de-hibernating bear, and screams to be heard in a way that demonstrates simultaneously
both the evolution and the primal regression of the band.
Darker & heavier is good."
Review of first album by Left Hand Drive and Sludge Swamp
"Another one of Britain's great and unsung hidden beauts...
a super-heavy setup based out of Guernsey, Channel Islands...
Teaspoonriverneck is a hyper-loud three piece outfit of quality descendance; this rocks...
It's a heavy dose of sludge tied to a healthy amount of fuzz, with a heating of doom
and a heart of straight-up killer heavy rock, all wrapped up in a sweet UK ball of monster rip.
This mix-up cites such influences as Hawkwind, Mudhoney, The Melvins,
Electric Wizard, Sonic Youth, Motorhead, Torche,
The Obsessed and fellow likeness...With the blessings of the boys I can share, and also say that
they are the livest heavy band in the Channel.
The track-titling originality alone is worth a couple of ounces of contemplation; repeat listening worthy.
The lead guit-man Jon was former of Insurrection which toured with Doom and Decadance Within
and who played alongside the likes of the mighty Carcass, which is a pointer to the roots of this sound.
Drummer Brett is an unrepentent mechanical machine of robotic proportions.
And if that doesn't help get a grip of what heavy these cats are about, well,
the understated bass/vocalist Lynchy describes the gig modestly as "hypnotic, heavy Rock 'n' Roll",
but it is really much more than that; it's weighty-tasty!
Their diggable attitude, mega-hip sound and mucho live presencia is pure & clean mega."
