His conviction and strong will to succeed comes from his father’s teachings to set goals and believe in a higher power to accomplish his desire to be successful.His musical background stems from a long list of entertaining, performing and singing at the age of seven years old. Playing guitar and drums in church on Sundays with his father and brothers started him in the gospel field. Performing on billings with Gospel Legends as The Might Clouds Of Joy, The Harmonizing Four, The Gospel Keynotes, The Blind Boys, The Brooklyn All Stars and The Gospel Knights. Singing and performing in many churches, schools, and centers with his family in different cities and states, he grew to understand at an early age the true value of being a entertainer.His R&B, Soul musical background stems form an early age in which he stayed every summer within the house of his godparents. He would listen to rhythm and blues artists like Sam Cook, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, The Four Tops, The Temptations and Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. He started singing; dancing and performing throughout the years in all school talent shows to fulfill his dreams of becoming a recording artist.From the early 60’s through the 90’s, being determined to become a successful entertainer, and recording artist, he and his brothers along with their childhood friends from their neighborhood formed a band called The Rare Experience. Performing at different colleges, nightclubs, lounges, outdoor concerts, and New York cities top disco’s. We were the opening act for artists like The Rare Earth Band, The Brass Construction Band, The B.T. Express Band, The Crown Height Affaire Band, Lilo Thomas, Black Ivory, Millie Jackson, The Jones, The Drifters, and many more, with the bands greatest accomplishments performing at Avery Fisher Hall, and Lincoln Center.While attending Boys High School in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, New York, he studied vocal teachnics under the direction of Musical Director Mr. Edmond in the schools vocal choir {The Mellodaires], to enhance his vocal harmony skills, and technics taught to him by his father. While in high school he began studying Music Theory and learning to play different musical instruments under the direction of Musical Director Mr. Gee playing in the school band.After his high school days and tours with different bands, he sang and performed as a lead singer, and front man for groups such as the The Rare Experience, The Crown Height Affair, and The Common Sense Band. He attended The New Muse Jazz Workshop in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, New York to study Music Theory, Music Imp ovation, Arranging, Composing, Song writing, and Piano under the direction of Musical Director Mr. Reggie Workman, former bass player for Mr. John Coltrance, in his goal to become a Music Producer.After completing his studies at The New Muse Jazz Workshop, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and lived there for seven [7] years and became an actor joining The Ebony Group & Company Ensemble, studying and performing under the direction of Theatrical Director Mr. Willie Stratford Jr. in such plays as Your Arms Are To Short To Box With God, Five On The Black Hand Side, and Fortunata in his quest to become a complete Theatrical and Music Entertainer in this industry.Today Mr. Orlando Kilgore [a.k.a.
