The Boston Massacre was mustered into roller derby service in October 2005, fighting valiantly against Providence Roller Derby in an ongoing war that pits sister against sister. With barely time to reapply their war paint, the troops rolled west to Las Vegas to skirmish with the Sin City Roller Girls in December.
Defeated in score but not in spirit, the Massacre militia recruited fresh blood and honed their tactical knowledge before sending this refreshed regiment to New York in June 2006, where they defeated the Long Island Roller Rebels by nigh on one hundred points. They traveled to Seattle to compete against the best of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association in September 2006. During three 20-minute bouts against Texas Roller Derby, Kansas City Roller Warriors, and Madison Wisconsin's Dairyland Dolls, the Massacre silently assimilated their enemies' strategies in preparation for 2007 derby domination.
The Massacre has since been to 2 Eastern Regionals Tournaments, ECE and has completed another season at the Shriners Auditorium. They are now gearing up for the 2009 season and couldn't be more excited about the matchups that will occur all under the Shriner's roof.
The true patriot knows what to do when he hears the faint whoosh of quad skates in the night and the distant cry, "Pack up if by land, check block if by sea!"
