About Me

Parker’s TangentContact: Arthur [203] 407-8225http://ctlocalbands.org/parkerstangent/http://www.my space.com/parkerstangentParker’s Tangent based out of New Haven, CT plays blues and roots based original art rock. The music can be poetic, quiet and touching to bluesy to out and out rocking. This is a professional group that has a lot of fun performing and that fun is picked up by the audience. The band’s lineup is comprised of a female lead singer who’s wonderful, warm sultry voice has been compared to Grace Slick and Nora Jones, drums [also female] guitar, bass, and violin! This is a professional all-star group with each of the musicians having many, many years of experience in other local bands. While the group plays primarily electric they are able to perform acoustically [“unplugged”] as well. Parker’s Tangent has played the main stage of the New Haven green, Toads Place, Lyric Hall,The Space, Two Boots, Martini’s, The Mansion, The Cotton Gin, Books and Company, Blues Brick Oven Pizza, The Neverending Bookstore, Daniel Street Club, The Buttonwood Tree, The Corner Pocket, The New England Brewery, The Gathering of the Elements, Spinstock, Art Attack, The Puppet House, The Farmer’s Market, La Boca, The New Haven Free Public Library, The Milford Public Library, The Ideat Village Festival, Mandatory Feedback on WNHU, Citizen’s Television, C J Sparrow, The New England Arts and Craft Festival, The Garlic and Harvest Festival, The Oyster Festival and other venues through out Connecticut including private parties and selected charity events. Their music has been played on Radio Collinsville 1620 A.M., WNHU, WQAQ and WPLR, Connecticut’s number one rock station. For more information please call Arthur at [203] 407-8225.
