City Chicken

About Me

City Chicken is a central Pennsylvania band that infuses elements of classic rock, psychedelia, jazz, and jam oriented rock to produce a truly unique musical alchemy. City Chicken provides a dynamic, engaging musical experience that makes the college crowd dance and the purists applaud their pursuit of musical integrity. City Chicken can accommodate the needs of any venue, offering a musical repertoire that includes originals and a diverse selection of covers, a personal sound technician, and the equipment to put on a full sound and light production.
City Chicken began in October of 2003. A common interest in original music has brought these four musicians together to pursue their goal of writing and performing music like the public has never experienced. Their first shows were playing small bars in and around central Pennsylvania. The crowds in that area are not accustomed to hearing original music, but this band had stage presence as well as technical ability, so they managed to win over many new listeners with their unique sound, humorous lyrics, and crowd interaction. Groucho Marx said it best when he made a comment years ago about the town where City Chicken played their first show, "If you can make it in Shamokin, you can make it anywhere...".
