This label is run by Jay Haley aka Jay Decay (check out www.JayDecay.com for more information on who i am). The label originally started in 2002 under the name Hammer Smashed Pelvis (or HSP). HSP wasn't just a label, it was a distro too. it released mostly my own band 50 Ways To Kill Me (check out www.50waystokillme.com for more information on that project) plus other media-core bands from where i'm from, Long Island. We released mostly CD-Rs in DVD cases. After getting sick of diving into dumpsters looking for DVD cases and getting sick of updating the website, HSP was pretty much defunct as of early 2006. In October 2007, i decided to restart the label under a new name, Preying Man Tits.
The biggest downfall of the Hammer Smashed Pelvis empire was failure to stay organized. So with this new label it will be a lot more simple. Most of the first releases on Praying Man Tits will be re-releases of the cult classics from HSP like Priest Murder and 7 Nipples & a Spoon. Also, HSP is actually still alive too but now it's just a distro, no more label because Praying Man Tits is the label. But i won't list distro items on the internet, that was a pain in the ass to update and led to the downfall of HSP. If you come to a 50 Ways To Kill Me / Jay Haley performance, there is a 50% chance i'll have the HSP distro with me, which is loaded with extremely obscure CDs and CD-Rs of experimental, noise (ambient or harsh), industrial, media-core, wacky bedroom boredcore, grind, goregrind, and lo-fi metal.
But enough talk about Hammer Smashed Pelvis, that was the past, Preying Man Tits is the future. Also, the other gimmick with the label, is that the only way to get a copy of a release is to get it in person, i do not deal with the bastard post office, i just let everyone download a net version. All releases are either CD-Rs limited between 50 - 100 copies, or CD/Vinyl limited to 1000, but are all unlimited to infinite downloads.
