About Me
To start off, I'm not an emcee, I'm an artist. There's a difference! I'm multi talented, I Produce, Rap, Emcee (garage/grime/whatever they wanna call it), I write for a magazine and I'm a Poet.I'm 16, I started off when I was like 12 maybe 13, my sister wrote my first rhyme and I had it since then. I'm one 5th of a crew called Ear 2 Da Street. The other members are my younger brother TruSay (14, Vocals), Seekah (16, Vocals), DJ Neon (18, DJ and Production) and we have another DJ called Smiley T that takes control of our Dancehall and Reggae Dj'ing. We also have close friends we work with like Shredz, LNY troopers, Blackflash, 2Shay, Paradox and a load more that we record and do shows with, not to mention the crew that rolls with us to the shows and helps distribute etc.My lyrics are based on whatever I see and hear. Since the release of my solo Mix CDs I'm known for storytelling, sick wordplay and conscious tracks about life and politics, but sometimes I do take a break and just spit a hot freestyle with some hard hitting punch-lines.We've done various events around Ipswich (home town), like College drop in which was an event that Ipswich college put on. Mayday which is a big outdoors event in front of a crowd from 400 – 600. Me and my brother have done various poetry events like poetry cafes, events at the Wolsey theatre and Brain candy which was an event the Ip one magazine put on (the magazine i write for). More recently the crew won the first Ipswich Urban Cup Clash which was last year and we'll be defending that later this year. We were supposed to be Dj'ing along side David Rodigan but the event got called off because the club got shot up a few days before. As for projects we had our first crew CDs and DVD in about 2004 when the members were me, my brother, Grim and Cheater. Then after that DJ Neon had his own CDs out which was in 2005. Then Grim left, along with Cheater and I released The Storybook. The Storybook was my solo Mix CDs that was released in May 2006 and while working on that, Seekah joined the crew and we all started working on a few new tracks and I started working on the label Loud N Clear. Smiley T joined one day after the Cup Clash and since then we've been a strong team all working hard. I also had a track feature on the Street styles Mix CDs vol.1. All tracks are recorded in our own homes through home studio set ups, there's broken leads, mess, dust and hardly any space but we still manage to get a great result. Also we've all been on various DVD's spiting bars and showing our lyrics to a wider audience.TruSay's Mix CD is being worked on, I've produced mad tracks for that. Also Seekah's Mix CD is being planned as it is a very, very complicated project. Smiley T is always keeping up to date with the latest Reggae, while me and Neon work hard on the production and I work hard on keeping a tight flow and mad lyrics.Keep your eyes open for a few up and coming projects that are sure to hit road soon.
