"The Real"-SVC (2005)
Sun Valley Crew (SVC) was formed in 1996 composing of members: Ryan Ventura a.k.a Slimm, Ryan Armamento a.k.a. Rye, RJ Seneres a.ka. ILL-J, and Joseph Papa a.k.a Puff-A-J. The group was signed to Universal Records and released two albums namely "Sun Valley Crew" (self-titled) and "Reality Check..A New Beginning" in 1996 and 1998 respectively. Both albums were produced by DJ MOD (Mastaplann) and their single "My Homies" (debut album 1996) acquired massive airplay which placed the song on top ten playlists both on radio and MTV. The single "My Homies" was nominated for Best Rap Single in the 1997 Katha Awards. The single "Everythings Gonna Be Alright" from their sophomore album won "Best Video" in the 1998 MTV Awards Philippines. After a long hiatus, original members Ryan Armamento, Ryan Ventura, and RJ Seneres recorded their third album titled "Its All Natural". Upon the completion of this album, they brought about a whole new face by regrouping into a live band compromising of Dan Gil on keyboards, Dex on drums, Kakoy a.k.a Kaks on guitars, Buddy (EraserHeads) on bass, Raymund Marasigan on samples, and Mong on guitars.
