My interests in the last few months span college football (Auburn), girls, work, television and movies, the Internet, and that's pretty much it.
I'm not really picky about who my friends are - I'm fairly easy to get along with, and I'm quite understanding of most other people (although there are limits). I tend to think I'm a good friend, although I'm sure some would disagree.
As for companionship, I'm not actively looking but that's not to say that I'm not open to the notion either. The girl must be atleast 5'10, no more than 110 lbs, preferrably blue, green or grey eyes (or combination of), nice boobies, etc. Actually, I'm kidding - I've dated all sorts of girls, so I'm not really sure that I'd say that I would be as picky these days (I'm sure everyone I know would beg to differ, but just add a few shots of Patron, Jager, a few beers (Stella or Red Stripe only, please), and I should be fairly friendly with just about any female within reason). The one thing that I'd require is someone that respects their body, mind and soul (to an extent on the latter, although it'd be nice) - I hope that was put in a nice, politically correct manner...
I'm neutral on music these days, to be honest. I still have a lot of interest in drum&bass, but its very limited to either producers/DJs that I know personally or the likes of High Contrast or LTJ Bukem. Outside of that, I like a lot of pop music and college indie music (although I'd be hard-pressed to name any bands). My tastes vary a lot though, and I can typically cop out with one of those 'anything but country' answers. I also enjoy lyrical 'underground' hip-hop, as well.
I'm perhaps one of the biggest movie buffs you'll meet. I spend about $200/month on DVDs, so my collection has outgrown my immediate storage space for movies. I try to go watch movies now and again, but lately, its all been garbage (and to cap that with the fact that movie tickets just seemingly keep rising in price). There are very few films that I haven't watched in recent years, and I'm slowly making my way through the back catalogues as well. I'd sit here and type out all of my favorites, but those change almost weekly.
God, where to start. When I was working 3rd shift more than a year ago, I decided to step into the world of downloading TV shows and watching them later on when I had the time. Let's face it, not everyone has the kind of dedication it requires to come home from work, eat, shower, relax and watch their favorite TV show(s) on a certain night at a certain time without the full knowledge on whether or not you are going to see a re-run or a new episode or anything during the time slot. That coupled with the thought that I want to get into the mix of the next 'Friends' or 'CSI', I pretty much download and watch EVERY new show (or those that are fairly infant that I watched over the last 1 or 2 years). This includes 'veterans' such as The O.C., Smallville, Nip/Tuck, Las Vegas and 24 to new shows such as House, Prison Break, and Criminal Minds. I believe I was up to about 20 shows per week, although its rare that all of them will air in the same week. I typically download these shows and watch them the next day or on Sundays - or the next week, or whenever I get a free moment. Due to this, I've stopped watching quite a few shows that seemed okay but ultimately failed to keep my interest.
I rarely read, to be perfectly honest. I went through my phase a few years back with Eastern and psycho-induced works of philosophy from the likes of Ram Dass, Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle, Aldous Huxley, etc., but I find that reading gives me a headache (I blame it on my left eye not my lack of comprehension abilities). Recently, I've purchased Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash and Bret Easton Ellis's Lunar Park, but I haven't started on either of the novels.
