About Me

For some reason, people kept referring to us as a bluegrass band. Sure, we had nice harmonies, guitars, bass, a banjo, and a fiddle, but we weren't really a bluegrass band. We'd rather cover Prince or Radiohead or Hüsker Dü than Bill Monroe (nothing against Bill Monroe, he kicks ass, but still), but more than anything we just wanted to play our own songs. The genre dysfunction finally got to be too much, and we decided to close the curtain on the band. Well, that, and Bob decided to move back to Minnesota.

Have a listen to the other bands we play with: Hearts of Oak , Whiskey Puppy , Gabe Rozzell and the Legion of Decency , and Mighty Ghosts of Heaven .

Dark Days EP: 1.dark days, 2. highway song, 3. lolo pass, 4. no roses, 5. breaks my heart, 6. fields of my mind, 7. try not to love you, 8. my life in the underground
These tracks are now available on an ep, we recorded and self produced a year ago in a basement in Sellwood. Our former fiddler Emily plays on these, and our goal was having something to document her playing with us and send her off to Chicago with something to remember us by and as well have a little something to sell at shows when folks ask for cd's. So a year later, here it is. If anyone is interested in purchasing one, send us a message and we'll see if we can get one to you. We'll record a new one as soon as we can.
