Na correria desde 99, enfrentando as dificuldades e, principalmente, fiel ao underground, o Bad Shelter vem consolidando o nome através de pensamentos que lutam pela igualdade das classes e conscientização do proletário. Tudo manifestado de forma direta em suas letras. Outro ponto forte é a atitude no palco. Um som agressivo, forte, rápido que junto à performance de palco é o diferencial de banda paulistana. Energia altamente contagiante! Em 2004 foi lançado o primeiro single, “Estatuas de Barro” seguida de “Pés descalços” em 2005. Ambas pelo selo Minura Records, e não deixaram a desejar, despertando boas impressões aos críticos locais: “O show começa com uma banda que me surpreendeu muito, Bad Shelter, com seu punk rock/hardcore agressivo e excelente presença de palco, já acordou o público, que cantou quase todas as músicas em coro. CD ,este, que leva o nome da banda. Um compacto que trás claramente toda influência do verdadeiro hardcore melódico, de bandas como Pennywise e Bad Religion - do começo - com inserções de HCNY se aproximando do som de bandas, como por exemplo, Rodox. Resista, Nuvem Negra e Filhos da Vida são algumas das músicas que repercutiram muito bem entre e cena local. Hoje a banda faz um som ainda mais agressivo, lembrando por vezes as novaiorquinas Sick Of It All e MadBall e as paulistanas Questions e Ratos de Porão. O Old School ainda existe e resiste ao pop, assim, desmagnetizando-se do hardcore industrializado, o Bad Shelter apresenta sua visão e obviamente uma nova proposta!
