The Southwest, a.k.a Aztlan is where I'm from, born in West Covina, Ca. I was raised in Baldwin Park Ca. Hip Hop Music, Popping and Breaking inspired me, through Dance contests or on the streets of B.P. on a daily basis. Before high school the dance movement slowed and as a sophomore in high school, I moved to EL Paso TX., where I had childhood years prior with my Father, who is still acting President of the Imperials Car Club E.P.T. Chapter. Oldies and Rap were my main source of music. In 1992 just 19 years old I performed at my first major Lowrider Magazine Car Show and Concert in El Paso with Artist such as; Lighter Shade of Brown, Hispanic Mc's, Too Down, Mc BLVD, Benton Wood, Then other shows followed where as a Solo Artist I shared the stage with other groups such as; Rappin -4-Tay, Kid Frost Proper Dos, South Park Mexican, Nasty Boy Ridaz, Tha Mexicans, Tommy Gun, Capone, Lil Rob, Conejo, Tha Hard Headz, Big Crime, Herb Daily, Mista Leno, Rasheed, L.A.D. C.B.F. 1, Emo G., Tallboy, By The Mantle, Detaine, Rocky Padilla and J.V. In 2000 felt I needed to take my music to another level , I then created Drunk Records. My Debut album dropped in 2001 "Introducing Drunk Records".In 2002 my son was born and is now my biggest inspiration to achieve my goals, and to let my voice be heard in the Hip Hop Industry. As a single Father, with Drunk Records still under my belt, I am now producing my own music, created at home in my own studio. I feel now I am more mature, ambitious & responsible, as I drop my second album "SCRAPYARD" which depicts emotional struggles, good and bad times, intellect, wisdom, and street life such as, hustle and hood, drugs and hoe's, basically just life scenarios from the eyes and mind of myself "BENNY SCRAP" with this album you will feel the real that most artist are afraid to say all compiled together with rhythmical poetic flow. Band, Sneaker Pimps, Club Noveau, Erica Badu, Warr, Rene & Angela, and The Dramatics. Strictly for promotion and good hearing with featured artist on both albums such as; my son BENNY III, CBF ONE,EMO-G, TALL BOY, Johnny Boy a.k.a. BAD INFLUENCE(all family) Also, ANGEL, ROXY, DUX 1, AYE-P and P-DOGG. "4 OLD TIMES SAKE" the UNDERGROUND ALBUM, contains Old School & Underground Oldies, it made my outlook on sampling music, and other artist now look different, considering, I was so against it, Like my Homie "Rude Dog" said "Be a part of the Band." I respect the music and want to be a part of it...Hope the majority can feel it.
