About Me

Comedian Greg Stevens is one of stand-up comedy's freshest faces, quickly captivating audiences with his unique and energetic style. Born and raised in Washington, DC, Greg has been performing at venues along the East Coast since 2003. Before attending the University of the District of Columbia, Greg earned a certificate in vocal music from Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Greg was hand-selected by friend and veteran comedian Rickey Smiley (BET's Comic View, Friday after Next) as an opening act at the Prince George's Classic Comedy Show in Laurel, MD in October 2005. Greg was also chosen from a field of others to feature for comedian Michael Colyar (BETs Comic View, HBOs Barbershop) in September 2005 at DC's Phish Tea Cafe, where he is becoming a household name. Greg blew audiences away as a featured stand-up act at the First Annual DC Comedy Fest in March 2005. Greg has written material for actor Reg "Bro Man" Ballard (Martin, The Bernie Mac Show), and warmed up the stage for comedians Chris Thomas and Pierre at the Glass House in Lanham, MD in 2004. Greg has appeared at the following venues: DC Improv, Phish Tea Cafe, Lulu's Club Mardi Gras, Nanny O' Briens, Titan's Bar, and Rosie's Dream (all in Washington, DC); Jokes on Us, Jillians, All-Stars Comedy Club, Glass House, Five Seasons, Kaufmann's Tavern, House of Welsh, and Corinthian Lounge and Restaurant (all in Maryland); Virginia House of Comedy, Wiseacres, and Dr. Dreamo's Tap House (all in Virginia); and David Brenner's Laugh House (in Philadelphia).Greg was also a participant in the 2008 Bay Area Comedy Competition in Oakland CA.
