About Me

I've been riding skateboards for most of my life and I love it! I was born in Seattle, and lived here until I was about 17 before moving to Portland, Oregon to live with my dad. My first taste of the local scene here in Seattle involved a lot of The Accused, Forced Entry, Dumt etc... and the sound track to a skateboard video called 'BOARD CRAZY'. It featured a bunch of guys I used to skate with once in a while at a ramp called Granny's who were sponsored by Fallout Records and Skateboards, or maybe they just put it out. The soundtrack included The U-MEN, Mudhoney, Nirvana and a bunch of local bands that were mostly unheard of outside of Seattle, and it was a great video! I started playing music, just out of High School in Portland with a band called DOWNER and we played around at places like The Satyricon and X-Ray cafe down there. I've been back in Seattle now since sometime around 1995. Since then I have been in a few projects including : Bass in Suffering Is Grace, Guitar in Greatest American Zeroes, Bass for Slackhabit, Guitar in 3 Way Switch, Bass in The Screaming Starts and a few more I suppose......Anyhow, as of late, I love to play guitar at home as much as possible, ride a skateboard when I get the chance, and play bass with ZIPTYE, RADIO ROCKETS, HOLY NAME DROPOUTS and a recording project called FLEETWOOD SMACK.

HOLY NAME DROPOUTS recorded our first full length in late 2008 @ BIG SOUND PRODUCTIONS and it will be out in the summer of 2009. We also have a 7" record (PANIC BUTTON)that just came out before we left for the Spring 2008 West Coast Tour with THE EARACHES. I am honored to be playing with these guys and can't wait for the full length album to come out in 2009 on 12" Vinyl, play shows and make new music.

3 WAY SWITCH is a band I was lucky enough to play guitar in right before I joined Holy Name Dropouts and we recorded a Demo @ EGG STUDIOS. Their new guitar player is AMAZING and they have new songs up so go check it out!

ZIPTYE has a new EP out and are part of the third Punks and Pints compilation. Ziptye also recorded a DEMO @ Hanzek Audio (formerly Reciprocal Studios) right before it shut down, and are currently playing shows etc.

RADIO ROCKETS was formed by August (front man for the Earaches, Reckless Bastards) in 2008 and I was super lucky to be chosen to play bass with him and the band. We just put up some new songs (which were mastered @ BIG SOUND PRODUCTIONS) a short while back, and just played our first show (CHECK OUT THE REVIEW HERE ).
