Black Candles were formed during the summer of 2003 by Finalizer and Fase and later that year the ranks of the band joined Johnny Doom, Tryfon and Christ (Tryfon's younger brother). Johnny Doom was replaced by Sane_V in the December of 2005 forming the most recent line-up of Black Candles and in that time the band's music direction turned to more aggressive paths while maintaining the atmospheric elements of its music.
