Pioneer female dj of South Beach. Dj Snowhite was the first lady dj to gain recognition in Florida. After landing her first residency at Rose's Bar & Music Lounge on South Beach in 1993, she began gigging in and out of Florida. When she made a name for herself and style, Snowhite created the first Spoken word-open mic night in 1997 called Faatland which featured various artists and bands such as Renee Wood Quartet, Lee Williams of The Square Egg, Hashbrown, Oski Foundation, Spam Allstars, Dj Coopdville and more. Faatland won best open mic night in The Newtimes in 1999. After this, Snowhite tried other aspects of djing, so she started playing out with various bands. One of the bands was Out of the Anonymous who she completed a 6 song ep with. From 2003-2004 Snowhite began djing for The Funk Jazz Lounge in the Poetry Room, there she interacted with the poets and crowd, soon she was known as the Poet Dj. In 2003 Snowhite was voted Best Club dj by the Readers Poll in the Miami Newtimes. In 2004 Snowhite appeared in the movie "From Justin To Kelly" the American Idol Movie. Snowhite began performing for Miami Light Project from 2003 to 2006, some of this work included Int'l Hip Hop Exchange, Miami Hip Hop Exchange and Miami/Project Hip Hop. In 2005-2006 Snowhite participated in Out of The Box Residency Program as a Dj Instructor for MLP/Youth Expressions teaching young adults the Art of Djing. In 2005 Snowhite arranged music tracks for Glossy Page Pimps starring Teo Castellanos and Raquel Almazan for D-Projects/MLP. Snowhite was the resident dj for the Organic Hip Hop Symposium for 2005 and 2006. Dj Snowhite is now working with Octavio Campos for his 305 LIVE project which is in conjunction with the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts. Snowhite is also a remixer and producer. She's known as the soundscape designer as she arranges and creates soundtracks for various performers and shows, dressing up a song just the way you want it. Snowhite also compiles children's hard to find music on cd's. Her compilations are called "Snowing Kids Music"
