Ironically, he was exposed mainly only to gospel music due to his very spiritually-rooted family. However, through his peers he was introduced to hip-hop and was immediately intrigued by the energy and art-form of this music and culture. Initially, he had to sneak to listen to hip-hop, being that his mother was unsure of this foreign genre. However, through music videos and radio he managed to stay in tune to this style and at the age of nine years old, decided to try his hand at rapping. Eventually, his mother began to accept his love for hip-hop and began to encourage his dreams of being a successful rapper himself. Ever since, Jones has continued to develop his craft and at age 14 started his own record label (Frontline Music Group) along with other ambitious visionaries Derek "D-Rok" Nixon, Alvin "Youngsta" Johnson II., and Keenon "Keen" Richardson. Later, he also added other artists SP and Bizzy to the roster, and released a compilation mixtape of all of these artists (including himself) titled "Frontline Authorized".
Flash has performed at many showcases, churches, block parties, and anywhere else they will allow him to pick up a microphone and have his voice heard. He is now set to debut his first mixtape "The Voice" and is working on his first album titled "Flashback".
