Luis J. Gomez is a product of the early 90’s and suburban boredom. Growing up in a house full of women, he had to find a way to cope with the constant physical and emotional abuse. Luis caught the comedy bug in the 1st grade, where he was sent to the Principal’s Office for beating up another student for taking apart his Lego spaceship. What was funny about that situation? That student was a girl. And that girl later grew up to become Luis J. Gomez’s loving, yet obedient wife. After successfully getting into the 2nd grade, Luis decided that school wasn’t for him. There was a higher calling in life…making people laugh! Shortly after moving to NYC in 2001, he began promoting for various comedy clubs around the city. After being exposed to the NYC stand-up comedy scene, he was hooked. Luis soon began performing stand-up comedy as the house MC for the PosterDog Comedy Series, an edgy NY show that featured the heaviest hitting comics in the city. Being around such strong acts really pushed him to be the best be could be. He developed an honest, edgy, 'in-your-face' style that had audience members rolling with laughter. Luis quickly climbed up the food chain and started being booked regularly at clubs throughout NYC. He was recently a featured performer at the NYC Underground Comedy Festival. He played a Puerto Rican guy in the pilot episode of 'Flawed'. He was featured on Philidelphia's ComCast OnDemand Channel, ComedyNet.com, and the IFC channel. Luis has most recently been seen in a national commercial for The People's Court Raw and he regularly performs at Comedy Clubs, Festivals, and Colleges all throughout the Country.
