'SPAM NO MORE' is the name for Punk Rock Benefit gigs in Northampton. Currently raising funds for residents of Northampton care homes who face daily finacial shortages which hinder and affect their quality of life.This covers a broad spectrum of care homes-especially those in the public sector-and we aim to give a little bit of cash directly to the residents to spend on what they wish. It also gives people the chance to catch some quality bands and know that theyre money is going somewhere important(not in the hand of a promoter or musician) whilst bands get some exposure.
What annoys and grate the most is that some people in care are offered Spam types of 'meat' to eat(cow eyes & hoofs etc) whilst some people in local authority earn over £100 a year.Wonder what they eat? Who is to blame?Why is it so?What can you do?

As a band we never felt like victims. Our aim was to do the punk rock thing and shout out for the victims.
V.O.T.E is more concerned about the unjust victimisation and bullying from those that have the power to change society but still keep an establishment to subdue, govern and oppress a people who dont YET feel like they have the power to change their society.
It may sound cliched, but it is true. It is also a reality that each and every one of us shapes our future, our society, our establishment.
So no band,but got the urge to keep shouting,so...
