About Me

DJ R Monix has been producing Drum n Bass for 4 years and has been DJ'ing Drum and Bass for about 6 years alongside DJ Converter and DJ Koncept providing alternative nights in his home town.He has had radio plays on Fabio n Grooveriders BBC Radio 1 drum n bass show 'new talent' secton, Social Time Radio show on dnbtv.com, Leetradio.com and has had plays by Stunna, Basek MC (Mental Implants).In Jan 09 agreed a contract with Peer Pressure Recordings to release 2 tracks, 'Jackie' and 'Waiting for Night ft Jett'. No dates available as yet for release date.

Band Members: Most of his productions are solo efforts but has done a few collaborations. Recent collab track includes 'Waiting for Night ft Jett' and currently working on a few tracks at the moment including a collaboration with 'Direction Giver' Also regularly does hip-hop/drum n bass nights along with DJs Converter and Koncept.
Influences: Drum n bass/Jungle,House,Hip-Hop,Reggae,Soul,Electro,Indie,Funk,Dub ,Rock,The Odd Pop Tune,Blues,RnB,Metal,Classical,Cinematic Scores,World n FolkDJ R-Monix has a wide range of musical tastes and influences and this is represented through his Drum n Bass productions.He also learnt music theory at primary school, and since giving up the violin at 11 decided to start playing the guitar and has continued playing for the last 20 years.
