Band Members: Rob Frost - Drums and Percussion - Rob started the band , and was originally one of the main songwriters, rob is a huge fan of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, Wishbone Ash and Iron Maiden he has the most old school musc taste in the band.Slowly but surely, Frosty is learning to appreciate heavier bands.
Nyall Gunn - Lead Guitar- Our new lead guitarist is proving to be an asset in the bands songwriting backbone, his technical riffs, lead guitar speed and warm character have made him an excellent choice. This guys loves the Frank Zappa, Megadeth and Children of Bodom.
Damo Taylor - Rhythm Guitar - Ben and Damo have been friends for years which means he is also a great choice. He is pretty much self taught and has never had a lesson. A huge fan of both melodic death metal such as InFlames,At the Gates and Dark Tranquility, and thrash such as Evile Megadeth and Sepultura.
Ben Gryspeerdt- The bassist and vocalist for the band - originally the bass player, Ben has a wide range of music taste varying from Classical and reggae music, through thrash metal, right through to the heaviest end of death metal and the even harsher black metal. He is also a huge fan of progressive bands such as Tool, Opeth and Enslaved. Ben writes the lyrics and a great deal of music for the new songs. He also maintains the website.

Sounds Like: "THE ALMIGHTY UNKNOWN FEAR, A LOCAL THRASH BAND THAT HAS UNDER GONE SOME RECENT LINE UP CHANGES WHICH, IN MY OPINION, HAS BREATHED A FIREY METAL BREATH OF FRESH AIR INTO THE BAND & AS A RESULT THEIR SET IS BLISTERING. UNKNOWN FEAR HAVE GREAT STAGE PRESENCE & REMINDS ME OF BEING AT THRASH GIGS OF THE LATE 80'S. HEADS ARE WILDLY WINDMILLING, LIMBS ARE THRASHING & BODIES FLYING. UNKNOWN FEAR HAVE MANAGED TO COMBINE THE SOUND OF EARLY GREATS SUCH AS DESTRUCTION & SODOM WITH A MODERN EDGE AKIN TO THE MIGHTY KREATOR'S LATTER DAY OUTINGS"Mat (necroripper promotions )The turks pub reading/
"The thrash-tastic happenings all start kicking off with Unknown Fear, a band taking their cues from the glory days of 80s thrash, owing more than a nod and a wink to Slayer’s relentless aggression and Exodus’ fondness for a groove. They are undeniably engaging to observe on the stage, with bassist/frontman Ben Gryspeerdt being a man in possession of quite a charismatic presence, not to mention inexhaustible energy.by sam "Motor".
With a performance that screams Death with bassist and frontman Ben Gryspeerdt leading the way with destructive vocals and thunderous basslines. Unknown Fear played a solid show opening with Mind Intoxication getting heads bobbing and then full all out devastation with Nuclear Future and End of War getting that hair swinging like hamsters on crack! If you like your original thrash backed up with killer guitar playing and some wiked rythem & lead sections from Nyall Gun and Damien Taylor backed up by furious drumming from Rob Frost I personally recommend these guys."

"Show no mercy is awesome. you should add Doom to your genre for it though haha, its evil as hell. Doom Thrash!.....Dash? or Throom? Awesome chorus too." Ol Drake -Evile./
"They're young and young people have energy. Unknown Fear have it; Energy. Their live show is tight, aggressive, musically precise and full of that "E" word...it's metal with every hint of early-Slayer-like thrash. Their Myspace music offering is a poor representation of what they can offer in a live show or on a well-produced CD." Shattermouth Promotions./
"Gloucester based thrash beasts Unknown Fear.........expect the trademark riffage with harmonising to the max." Drowned Rat Productions./
“Well written songs with stylistic guitar riffs and very good playing, especially the guitar soloing…. Fantastic drumming.†Nick Wright (Oxfordshire Rock ‘n’ Pop Festival"/

"First off, let me say that I was BLOWN away by your band (101% honesty here). You wear your influences on your sleeves, but have a unique take on the genre; absolutely fucking awesome. I'm actually listening to some as I type this.Great drums and bass playing , awesome groove with the riffs, and you guys kept it tight and structured throughout! I applaud you, I wish I was as good as you guys...!" Gauthan ( a kick ass fan of the band )
