bringing to life her own musical recipe from a rich palette of

“This enigmatic performer will captivate and bedazzle you with her wistful vocal stylings and infectious melodies…†Reggie Bowman ~ Scream Louder Productions
Shell’s great musical explorations take the audience on diverse journeys through calculated dynamics with delicate finger style guitar playing and soft sweet singing tempered by loud powerful outbursts of complex / rhythmic guitar and passionate vocals.
Audiences can expect to be transported to the eye of the storm that is Shell’s very soul.
Together with producer Sean O’Sullivan, Shell has found a niche on her latest recording to create an album of striking identity and stylistic placement.

Accolades such as these will no doubt continue to accumulate throughout her career and Shell will continue to be able to live, breathe and eat music, and her name will become synonymous with talent, entertainment, passion, and stead fastness in the industry.

About me....
I have been playing guitar and singing and writing songs since i was 4, my Mum is a music teacher and she taught me the ropes and when i became a teenager i started to shape my own musical direction and style. Now I busk part time and the rest of the time i play music, party hearty, have fun etc etc ... i usually record my own music at home, but recetly i was lucky enough to work with a producer and experience a much larger studio... what a buzz..
Career:.........
Early 2009 Michelle aims to record a new album with a strong acoustic feel. Armed with a lot of musical experience and a constantly growing pool of songs to draw from, Shell is preparing to step out of her comfort zone and ‘grow out of herself’ in a magnificent recording of her newest inspirations from 2008.
....i just won a brand new maton guitar in a busking comp at the Nerrandera festival (yay)
....I have spent three years in Melbourne playing gigs and also open mics in venues such as:
The comfortable chair, The Espy, Pure, Barbukka, Cape Live, The Brunswick hotel, The sutainable living festival (southbank) Noise bar (Brunswick) .......AND i have played festivals such as Maldon Folky, Corryong traditional music and poetry festival, Nerrandera trad festival .......and played more venues and festivals as part of bands with my Mum Jill Meehan and good friend Greg Waddel (Blue Couch) ........
some of my thoughts on a few issues:
The light can conceal as much as it reveals......
i think contrast is a very important part of existence, 'good' wouldn't be able to be as 'good' as it is without having such a thing as 'bad' to be different from..
art culture:
a reason why art and music etc are so prevalent in our society could be: crazy arty creative people go to the extremes of living and whilst being extremely depressed or happy or tripped out, they create something tangible that OTHER people can experience. We like to experience a taste of these extremes, without actually living them.........................
Violence:
i think we condition our next generation to like violence, by taking them to violent movies, and whilst watching the movies, we give the kids reward types of food such as popcorn lollies icecream and junk. I feel sooo desensitised to violence which scares me...
