About Me

I'm interested/interesting. Ask me about trains or british birds (esp. of prey, marine based, swallows, martins and swifts)! I'm also rather fond of food and drink... wotsit sandwiches washed down with a white russian constitutes a delicious dining experience. The following is the result of my superhero personality test :
You are Spider-Man Spider-Man 75% Superman 70% Iron Man 65% The Flash 65% Green Lantern 60% Supergirl 53% Hulk 50% Wonder Woman 48% Batman 45% Robin 45% Catwoman 45% You are intelligent, witty,
a bit geeky and have great
power and responsibility.

A few clips of my travels last year.....

My Interests

Principally friends, family, thinking, music, travel, film, books, taking photographs... the usual garb. My more personal interests include: Carcharodon carcharias, Golden Gate Bridge, lcfc, buildings, tall buildings, dead tall buildings, chiffarobes, oilcloth, Great Crested Grebe : (Podiceps cristatus, especially the summer edition, including black head tufts and chestnut frill), optimism, enthusisasm and my friends. If you've heard of the Channel Tunnel, that's quite clever I reckon.? I like film/tv with OTT sound effects and find that the use of staccato horns is the most entertaining way to illustrate shock or surprise(!). For an example of this you should witness the part in Predator where Schwarzanegger picks up Carl Weathers, throws him against the wall and shouts "you set us up!", marvellous! I enjoy challenging rail commuters petty routines, much to their disapproval, Japan, various feats of engineering and plenty of other bullshit I can't think of at the time of writing.
You are now marked on my profile visitor map!

I'd like to meet:

The one and only Emperor Norton... ...not too likely now though! The Fraggles... ..Snipes.

Music:

Jaws' theme is dead good. Arvo Pärt and the Les Savy Fav. If God had wanted us to eat fruit he would have grown it on trees like beef and Double Deckers.

Movies:

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, TLAWSZ, Ghost World, Withnail & I, Suspiria, Profondo Rosso, Tenebrae, Dead Man's Shoes, Cafe Lumiere, House of Bamboo, Rushmore, Adaptation, Touch of Evil, Vertigo, Rope, Who Saw Her Die, Zombie Flesh Eaters... don't know why I started this, there's squillions!

Television:

I only watch Renegade, Megastructures... and Neighbours, obviously the cornerstone of any proper Englishman's day.

Books:

Dreams from Bunker Hill, A Confederacy of Dunces, Atlases, Lonely Planet books, other things. Currently reading Crime and Punishment.

Heroes:

George Spartels, Tom Oliver, Ian Rawlings, Edmonds, Anne Haddy, Ray Meagher, Peter Polycarpou, Botham, Jacko from Brush Strokes, Cook, Tim Harrington, John Peel, Bukowski, Fante and Bradley walsh.
