About Me

I look forward to the day when I will have more money than I will know what to do with. I am in love with many famous people, such as Patrick Stewart, Brian Regan, John Mayer, Darius Rucker, George Clooney, and Junior, but I know I would never be able to meet them. I'd be too embarrassed. I wish on my favorite star every time I see it. My biggest and least-likely-to-come-true dream is to go to the moon. I know unending amounts of useless trivia. I like NASCAR, college basketball, and Gamecock football. I have an incredibly random selection of friends, but they're all excellent in their own way. I'm very sarcastic and I am happiest when I'm making others laugh with my wry observations and bitchiness. I can get caught up in games for hours: computer games, war games, card games, board games, puzzle games, etc. Sometimes I feel drawn to the ocean and think maybe it's because my uncles loved it so much and I can feel close to them there. I really enjoy cooking, but not cleaning up afterwards. I'm starting to think that not getting into grad school was the best thing that could have happened to me. I wish I could be at the Animal Forest every day. I am an awesome frisbee player. This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

Destroying the kitchen in my quest to become a good cook, having the weirdest dreams known to mankind, being the poster girl for the 'needs to think before she speaks' action coalition, getting 10 hours of sleep every night.

I'd like to meet:

The man who will make it rain for me. If he's not available, I'll take the man who will have the surgery to switch his vocal cords with Patrick Stewart. Or this kitty...

No, Chelle, I’m not wallowing in self-pity

But recent events in my life and in the lives of those around me have got me wondering:  does anyone's life turn out the way they want it to?  I certainly didn't think I'd be a single zookee...

Seriously, again?

Sigh.  Things were going so well.  I think it's the universe's way of telling me to not be so damned giddy.  Also, not to be so trusting.  I'm sad and miserable, for the time being...

What can I say, I like being in charge

I know I keep pushing.  I do it with everyone.  Maybe things aren’t working they way they’re supposed to. As long as it’s on my terms, I’m okay.  So many times, ...

Who else?

Of course it’s about you.  Isn’t it always?  It worked for a few weeks, but as soon as the initial "newness" wears off, you come right back, shoving everything else back out of m...

Woody

That's the name of the Hootie song I'm listening to right now.  It's so lovely and wistful.  It reminds me of someone and it's what I'd write about them, if I could.  Today was one of ...

Since I can’t talk, I’ll type

The doctor (one of many I've seen so far this year) was surprisingly shy about telling me exactly what's wrong with me.  I have an "infection."  Oh, thanks.  Tell me something I don't k...

Next time, I’ll get my aura read...

...instead of just letting Mona lick it.  For my birthday, my awesome Rochelle got me a psychic reading.  This strangely-accented lady told me that I will get very good news within 2-3 weeks...

Let’s take a vote, shall we?

No, let's not really.  But I really can't make up my mind.  About much of anything.  I had another great time in DC and I even bought a permanent metro card, so I'm sorta afraid I've ji...

Two quick things...

One, I'm feeling better.  Much thanks to Chelle's bucket of fish.  And the many, many cripple jokes.  Those of you who knew me in high school, it's just like I tripped over the white li...

Here’s my hysterical replacement activity of the evening

I've just reached this state of utter terror about the future.  And it is rendering me incapable of working on the things that will bring the future.  I haven't touched my application in wee...
