I plan to use this myspace in partnership with my new Youtube Account to document my move to Germany and all the adventures that will be sure to ensue. So stay tuned for videos!
About Me....I am Sarah, known onstage as Mariko. I live in Munich, Germany and am pursuing a career there in music. This is a new and exciting step in my life...and I want to make sure to be able to share the experience.
I find that I never have enough time in my day or my week to fully get everything done, but then again, who does?
Music is the absolute center of my existance. With it, I'm home, without it, I die a little.
I can be a bit obsessive, and also a bit paranoid. I work hard, love passionately but withdraw quickly.
I've been called many things in my life so far, but I am still on the way to exploring who I am....and again, this is like many people around my age.
My philosophy on life is that everything happens for a reason and that the meaning of life is to live a life with meaning, whatever that may be.

Light fingers on black keys, a minor exception to the ordered essence that gathered the eclectic charms of the open air market.
The remembrance of history in the uneven stones of the side streets of uneventful lives, worn through centuries of shuffling shoes.
Ears mute to the guttural hawking of urgent pastries whose crumbs fall and scatter amidst the temporal debris to be reflected in the impatient eyes of waiting mice.
She had traveled an ocean in the hope that in the midst of this antique and cadaverous land knotted ribbons would bookmark the hidden formulas of the poetic image, that foreign alphabets would arrange the words in such a way that revelatory admissions of innocence would purify the skin, so soft to the touch.
She had traveled an ocean to stand at the terminal point of clear horizons where her craft and her creative flow could race like the rivers of commerce under granite bridges.
She had traveled an ocean with ancient violins and neon lights to spin the archeological layers of culture into a synthesis of her exotic coffee eyes.
She had traveled an ocean back to the elemental belief that the petals of spring blossoms would settle gently in her path, blending their rare and refreshing scent with the clarity of her voice.
