Bungalow 8 has entered a very curious time in its 4 and a half year existence. It has seen the ebbs and flows of fleeting jet-set popularity so many times that Armin and Disco and Tina surely can predict with Aristotelian accuracy which nights will be hot and which will be quiet. Bungalow's longevity (club years are to dog years as dog years are to human years) is perhaps serving to instill the mystique that will land the club in the pantheon of the all time greats. Just Saturday night, a changing of the guard occurred as Paris Hilton's 16 year old brother Barron out-partied big sis and left long after NYC's prescribed 4am closing time. With Bungalow renewing itself time and time again, will the label of club be taken away and in its place the title of "institution" be granted?
