LotusLab (my stuff I use) was built with a $200 every other year or so investment to get gear, 4-track recorder, mics, stuff and so forth. One day, it became a recording studion. In 2002, I buffed my computer up enough to turn tapes into CD's. by then, I had helped several people make tapes of their material (demos), with myself being say, producer (I produced a tape for them, and made it happen). Once I was able to make CD's of stuff on tape, I entered the next realm of DIY aesthetics.I helped Yava make about 20 songs onto tapes by hooking her up with gear and whatnot.I helped Jerry Shuneck aka Gerald Stevens make a 10 song demo whilst on a business trip.I have also helped my friend Seth Patka make his own studio's tape recordings into 3 full length CD's.Exciting.My goal is to make a "cool movie" given my own abilities and gear, however low budget. It will happen.
