The name's Wim. A rational romantic, realistic dreamer, socially committed too, rather calm, but passionate in certain ways surely, some sense of poetry, curious, lazy, creative, patient, good manners. My own critic. A nice person, though i feel not too comfortable amidst machism, peer pressure, lack of nuancing, blind conformity, monotony, kitsch, snobbism, ... Broad and crazy interest in music!
A friend called me "sweet and simple, but far from ordinary"
((simple?, well... i can feel happy for very simple things, true!)
Other people called me intense. Hmmm...

still trying to find a good balance between being rational & irrational, serious and crazy, lazy & creative, adult & childish, dreaming & being realistic, simplicity & complication, shyness & ambition, introvert and extravert, confusion & clarity, listen & talk ;-)
And by the way :
i'm a (damn) perfectionist, and, despite some talents i have, i also have a lot of limitations and kind of "weak" character features, trust me... (fortunately it doesn't hinder me too much to have friends and to be loved). Thank God i'm not perfect! Being me is not always easy, but not too much boring either, so i'm quite happy with being me. Anyway, i believe in the value of diversity! Bla bla bla ;-)

For people who want to know what i "DO in life" :
I'm not really ambitous, at least in the sense of making much money. I prefer to have a lot of spare time, cos there are just too many interesting things to discover in this world. That is another kind of ambition, I guess. I try to find a tempo in life that suits me. I don't mean that i always dislike challenges, of course.
My job is important for the social meaning, and some opportunities, but my life is certainly not my job for me. However i like to make myself useful there ;-)
I work for a sort of modest formation institute for adults, i teach also, but not constantly, i like to do various things. Right now desk work, webmastering and some teaching mainly.
