About Me

A Query to The House of Masks
My good man,
I was going to ask you, after viewing your private art gallery of ancient spirits, demons, gods and ghosts, How DO you come up with such fantastically frightening masks? I was wondering if the yearning to take off your own skin and play somebody else plays into your desire for mask making...I can understand that, trust me. Or is it all the tactile qualities? The craftiness of it all? What drives you to create something out of nothing? DO TELL!
Madame F awaits your reply.
****************************
Dear Madame F,
My dear lady, how kind it was of you to visit my House of Masks and other Oddities. Your presence there was like that of a princess in the gloomiest of Old World dungeons. In response to your query of how I create such fantastically frightening masks as you described, I am afraid I am at something of a loss for words. Lacking in the necessary intellectual and analytical capabilities to describe my masks I can only say that what drives me is perhaps the same primal urge that drove the earliest man...boredom? Now there is no reason for me to re-create the wheel or anything else that might be of use to mankind, so I am free to let my imagination run wild. This is the wonderful freedom of spiritual creation which is mine at the House of Masks. Aside from that I might add that I have grown weary of the world and the strivings thereof and hence have taken to creating a world of my own design. And besides making things out of glue and paper and other items is fun. A world of play and fun.
Sincerely yours,
