About Me

What can you say about yourself? Born Uniontown Pennsylvania. Attended North Union High School. Was one of the original Upward Bound students first at California College, then at Penn State. Moved to Kingwood WV and graduated from Kingwood High School. Was an officer in the WV Future Teachers of America and Student Education Association but didn’t want to be a teacher then. Went to Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Was a community action worker in Guyandotte (a section of Huntington). Had my first two churches in Ohio in my senior year. Moved to Washington, DC to go to Wesley Theological Seminary. Worked for Congressman Ken Hechler hosting his “Week in Washington” for two years. Worked as a custodian/Assistant Pastor at Lincolnia UMC. Had my first full time church at St. Andrews UMC in Alexandria VA. Got divorced. Worked in store security, bought apartment buildings…stepdaughter kept running away…lost business…second divorce. Finally became a school teacher. Got married. Moved to St. Augustine Florida. Became pastor of Pilgrim United Church of Christ by default….major nursing home ministry. Worked my way up in Humana to a project manager position then training manager. Lots of travel to Green Bay and Louisville. Humana closed Jax office. Various history projects in St. Augustine. Moved to New Orleans in time for Katrina. House flooded. Trees fell on house….but I’ll be damned if I give up now.Currently work at Fellows Children's Academy outside of Alger's Point on the West Bank as a Director and Teacher

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Don't give a damn about famous people. I've met every president from Nixon forward except this Bush. (More like Forest Gump) Met movie stars, etc. Too old to be impressed anymore. However I do like to meet people....chefs, musicians, educators, poets, writers, people with a questioning and very open religious outlook....and just people who want to explore and enjoy life. (And always remember I love to stand next to beautiful women.)
